“The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light” (Romans 13:12)
There are a number of people who believe that our nations is too far gone to be salvaged. They might exclaim that “not even a revival can save this country.” I mean, just take a look at our deplorable society. If I were to itemize all the evils we encounter on a daily basis, it would take more space than allotted here. But just for starters, how about crimes, the abortion industry, smutty pornographic establishments, anti-Semitism, injustice of the courts, anarchy against prevailing governments, greed, oppression by the rich (or suppression of the helpless) – – ENOUGH ALREADY!

But I haven’t mentioned the greatest evil of all: It is a categorical rejection of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, and His Word, the Bible. I believe that we can sub-categorize all of the above and subsume them under this greatest of sins!
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20

It’s really dark out there – – the moral and spiritual darkness is so thick, one can “taste it!” We call evil “good,” and good, “evil!” And Isaiah the prophet proclaims a “woe” against such rebellion against the God of heaven (“woe,” speaking of impending doom or judgment). Just read Isaiah 5:20, written some 2700 years ago!
I would concur that our country is too far gone (nationally) to be salvaged!

But there is one exception, and that is a personal repentance! We must be right with God ourselves before we can expect others to do so. Please listen to Peter’s plea: “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise…, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to REPENTANCE. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the … earth and the works that are in it will be burned up!”
There’s still time for you to repent (and that would include the clergy also)!
