How Do We Receive Salvation?

Everyone needs salvation because all have sinned. We are ALL guilty.

Because of Adam’s rebellion, we are ALL born sinners. Our sin nature separates us from an eternal, perfect, holy, and just God.

They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good; no, not one  (Psalm 14:3)

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me (Psalm 51:5)

As it is written: “There is none righteous; no, not one (Romans 3:10)

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God  (Romans 3:23)

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned (Romans 5:12)

The price (or consequence) of sin is death.

God is eternal, holy, and just. He must, by His standard, punish all sin.

And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life (Matthew 25:46)

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23)

Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death   (Revelation 20:14)

Since we have ALL sinned and deserve Hell, where is our hope? This is the bad news. We owe an insurmountable debt. There is nothing we can do to pay this debt. There is no work we can do that will save us. How can we escape this punishment?

The Good News is that Jesus Christ died for our sins. He paid the price for us!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16)

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8)

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit (I Peter 3:18)

And He Himself is the propitiation (satisfaction) for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world (I John 2:2)

How do we receive salvation and eternal life from Jesus Christ?

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart– These, O God, You will not despise (Psalm 51:17)

Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near  (Isaiah 55:6)

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name (John 1:12)

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved  (Acts 16:31a)

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ  (Romans 5:1)

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus  (Romans 8:1)

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9, 10)

For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved (Romans 10:13)

Do not wait any longer – – you are only ONE heartbeat from your final eternity destiny. Once you pass from this life, your destiny is sealed forever! This is LITERALLY the most important decision you will ever make : Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation (II Corinthians 6:2b)!
