The Ostrich Syndrome

“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man (Jesus Christ) whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead”  (Acts 17:30, 31)

The Ostrich strategy: Why ignorance is no excuse – C-Suite Network

Many people don’t want to know what’s up ahead. And probably just as many don’t really care. When disaster happens, at least it did not happen to them, they reason. But even ostriches have to wake up sooner or later. And the hour is getting late: natural catastrophes are taking place around the globe, children are being abused, numerous idealists are flexing their muscles in seeking to dominate others, tons of individuals are robbing people of their time, freedom and money, many are angered at their circumstances, several blame God for their own mistakes and sins, and “we’ve only just begun!”

OK, I’ve only got a little more space and time to write, so I’ll condense my thoughts:

  1. We better wake up to the fact that the world is becoming more evil exponentially (just as the Bible said it would be in the last days)!
  2. “Sticking your head in the sand” will not make “things” go away.
  3. God is becoming very angry, and when He does, watch out world!

Jesus Christ is going to judge every person who has ever lived, and that would include you! However, and here’s the good news, if you repent of your sins and trust in Jesus Christ alone to save your soul, He will give you everlasting life and you will not be condemned. If, however, you continue to reject God’s gracious gift of forgiveness and heaven, yours will be an eternity with God’s wrath poured out on you, and you will never ever have the opportunity to escape! Sobering words! BUT whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).
