“That we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. In Him (Jesus Christ) you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel (good news) of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise” (Ephesians 1:12, 13)

As I was sitting around the kitchen table with a couple of my special friends, Raymond read to me one of his Facebook entries. I said to him “Raymond, would you let me use this for one of my weekly articles in the paper?” He graciously gave me permission, and here is what he wrote:
“He (Jesus Christ) called me to serve and forgave me my sin,
And sent me the Holy Spirit who dwells within.
Life is not easy; He said ‘be of good cheer’ – –
He has not failed me, year after year.
As in the days of Lot in the end it shall be,
Trust Him as Lord and you’ll be worry-free.
Life is freely given to all who’ll accept – –
Today is the day, for He paid the debt.
So, what will you say, what will you do?
When He says, ‘depart from Me, I never knew you!’
Charity, works, nothing you ever do
Can get you into heaven unless Christ you knew!
No religion and no man can absolve you of sin!
A relationship with Christ is how we get in.
Don’t be fooled by ear-tickling preachers – –
Trust Christ alone, the perfect Teacher!”
Raymond
I couldn’t have said it any better!
Wow! Tell Raymond thank you. He said it perfectly. I will be keeping that poem. 😊
