“Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived” (II Timothy 3:12-13)
Anybody who has any insight can observe what is going on in the world: wars, violence, hatred, sexual immoralities (many varying expressions), the murder of babies, the suppression of speech (many modes), social uprisings, injustice (in all too many instances), hatred for what is right and moral, etc. etc. And lawlessness abounds (Matthew 24:12).
You know, it’s rather simple: all the evils in the world today can be subsumed under one category – – man’s evil attempts to go against Jesus Christ and His Word, the Bible (John 12:48). It is a rebellious defiance against the creator and sustainer of this universe. It is a satanic attempt to thwart God’s eternal plan. Just observe the worldwide attempt to attack “the people of the Book” (speaking of both Jews and Christians). These attacks come from all segments of society (educational establishments, governments, media outlets, nations, and religious groups, etc). The thinking is quite obvious: if Jews and Christians can be eliminated, there will be freedom from any moral restraints. Then every man will be able to do what is right in his own eyes (Judges 21:25).
Here is how the Creator of the universe responds:
- What a man sows, that will he also reap (no exceptions)! In the end, nobody “gets away with it!
- Hell is prepared for the devil and his angels, along with all those who reject Jesus Christ and His Word – – “That they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness” (II Thessalonians 2:12). Hell is where God unleashes His eternal wrath against a sin-filled mankind.
- Evil and its day will be short-lived.
- Eternal bliss is reserved for all believers of God’s Word, the Bible.
So, you hate the God of the Bible and express your hatred of His people – – the Jews and genuine Christians? You need to repent of your sin and turn to Christ to save you from His coming wrath (it’s just around the corner)! Ask God to forgive you and give you eternal life for Jesus’ sake. He will save you by His grace. Believe it and receive it (John 1:12)!
