“Thomas said to Him, ‘Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?’ Jesus said to him, ‘I am THE (one and only) way, THE (one and only) truth, and THE (one and only) life. No one comes to the Father (God, who is in Heaven) except through Me (alone)’” (John 14:5, 6)
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven” (Matthew 7:21)
In more cases than I care to remember have I heard eulogies reassuring the listeners of the departed’s entrance to heaven. The deceased may have been a known scoundrel, a liar, a thief, etc., nevertheless, the deluded preacher falsely preached him into heaven. He was Mr. nice guy, you know!
All too many (multitudes) believe that by their adherence to religious practices (kneeling, reciting canned prayers, lighting candles, and doing a lot of nice things for others) will get them into heaven. There they will be welcomed to pearly gates, streets of gold, and sensual pleasures. Sound familiar? Does God really need or want your help or offers??
The biblical (Judeo-Christian) God orders otherwise. He doesn’t operate by man’s imaginations, but by divine Revelation! It doesn’t matter what religious denomination you belong to; what your unstable feelings tell you; or what (religious) deceivers have led you to believe; etc. The only thing that matters is what God has authoritatively and sovereignly declared! That matters!
If and when you don’t get to Heaven to experience eternal life, you won’t be able to blame God for it! When you will experience God’s eternal wrath for ever and ever (billions upon billions of years), you will remember that God has graciously made a truthful way for you to get there, but you chose to neglect or reject your only hope – – which is to place your faith in Jesus, the Messiah, ALONE (nobody or nothing else)!
Ask Him to forgive your sins and gift you with everlasting life! He who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13)! How heavenly is that!
