IF I ONLY HAD ONE ARTICLE TO WRITE . . .

“Simon Peter answered and said, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God’” (Matthew 16:16)

If I only had one article to write (and I have written many over the years), it would be about the Lord Jesus Christ! Here’s why:

1. He is the most important person in my life! – For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:21)
2. Our calendars revolve around Him (B.C. = Before Christ, and A.D. = Anno Domini, In the year of our Lord)!
3. More volumes have been written about Him than any other person in all of history!  – And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen. (John 21:25)
4. He forgave my sins and removed my guilt – in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. (Colossians 1:14) Only He can save anyone who comes to God through Him alone! –  Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6) ;  Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:25)
5. He has all the power in this universe – – He is the Creator of it – My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:2) – – therefore He can help me! There is none greater!
6. He is 100% God and 100% Man – – all in one person, unlike anyone else who ever lived!
7. He is the unique Son of God; therefore, He is also God – Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14) – For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. (Isaiah 9:6–7) ; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)  … the entire Gospel of John)!
8. He raised Himself from the dead – “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.” (John 10:17–18)  – along with His Father (God) and the Holy Spirit!
9. He is the final Judge of all! For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, (John 5:22) and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. (John 5:27)

He alone is to be exalted and worshiped! And someday every knee will bow to Him alone (Philippians 2:9, 10)! That would include all who ever lived, including the spirit-world, rulers of nations, judges, the rich and famous, the poor and lowly, ALL – – your knees and mine as well! I gladly bow before Him and Him alone now! How about you? The only authoritative Scripture (from God Himself) puts it very simply, “He who believes in HIM is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God!”  Believe His Word: JESUS ALONE IS LORD for ever and ever (Revelation 11:15)!
