MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT: TODAY’S WARFARE

“Come, behold the works of the LORD, who has made desolations in the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth”  (Psalm 46:8-10)

All too many today make the mistake of viewing current wars and threats of wars as being only national and physical. Terror reigns in many regions of our globe. Most of the news and news outlets are really bad, to say the least!

So, where lies the mistake? The mistaken notion is that these conflicts are to be basically understood in physical terms. The reality is that most of these hostilities are driven by spiritual, unseen forces. But the players are physical entities used by spiritual forces in the struggle of evil versus the good! It is the old and perennial struggle of demonic forces versus the God of the Bible.

You can take it for what it’s worth – – but that’s the bottom line or real cause of today’s conflicts! Entire nations with their evil rulers, university staffs who display bold animosity (especially against God’s chosen people), media outlets who side with those who are evil, wealthy individuals who also promote this hatred, etc., etc.! They all have one objective in common – – to fight against the Messiah, the God-Man, Jesus Christ, God’s uniquely begotten and beloved Son!

One of the great tragedies of this convulsive trend is that some so-called “Evangelicals” or supposed Bible believers have placed themselves on “the wrong side of the tracks!” At best, they are nominal (by name only) Christians who have violated the basic understanding of Scripture regarding the timing (of the great upcoming Tribulation period), and the chosen people of God(Christians and Jews). They wrongly proclaim that God has forsaken his own!

So briefly, and by way of summary, the end will take place when Jesus Christ will be the final and definitive Judge of the earth. Woe to those who have been on the wrong side of HIS tracks!
