A DIFFERENT WORLD

“But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13)

Much of the Book of 2 Timothy deals with living in the end-times. It was the last Book Paul wrote prior to his execution (for his faith) in Rome. When a unique man speaks his final words, one would think that those words would have a special significance and would carry much weight!

Paul tells Timothy what the scene would look like in the latter days – – the days in which we live. We should not be shocked or surprised when we see massive evils of incredible proportions spread all over the globe, our country not excepted. God, through His messengers predicted such 2000 plus years ago!

Do you remember not having to lock your car or home? Do you remember when children could walk to and from school without the real fear of being threatened? Do you recall when university students had the ability to freely express themselves, without being intimidated or castigated, when an education was to broaden one’s perspectives rather than force coercive brainwashing and relativistic ideology down their throats? Do you still remember when legislation was passed in agreement with the Bible? And Israel was held in high esteem, and God blest us for that!

But things have changed! And not for the better! Evil men from many walks of life have brazenly taken it upon themselves to perform and promote evils of all kinds and proportions! Cheating, lying, murdering, stealing, and enforcing immorality are all too common today. It’s almost “across the board,” with few exceptions.  Thank God there are still God-fearing individuals whom some day soon God will reward! But for all others who mock God’s upcoming judgments (plural), and who persist in their evils, there awaits an eternal Hell, “owned and operated” by none other than the Judge of the earth. And His name is the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

John puts things in very simple words that you and I can understand: “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36). Only 2 options, and NOBODY is exempt!
