“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).
Not too long ago I did a little study on God’s help network, as I call it. God does not help those who help themselves, but those who call on Him to help them!

1) Help from God the Father.
God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)

2) Help from God the Son, Jesus Christ.
For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted. (Hebrews 2:18)
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:14–16)

3) Help from God the Holy Spirit.
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (Romans 8:26)

4) Help from the Word of God, the Bible!
For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. (Romans 15:4)
5) Help from God’s ministering angels.
Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? (Hebrews 1:14)
6) Help from human beings:
- Family and relatives:
- But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. (1 Timothy 5:8)
- Church and friends:
- Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” (Acts 6:1–4)
- If any believing man or woman has widows, let them relieve them, and do not let the church be burdened, that it may relieve those who are really widows. (1 Timothy 5:16)
- Other agencies.
With the Psalmist we should echo, My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:2)! If God can (and did) create this vast universe, He can also help you!
