AND THE WINNER IS …

“Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and You are exalted as head over all” (1 Chronicles 29:11)

Most people are inherently win-conscious. They like some of John Wayne’s movies, because most often, in the end, he wins. People love sports, especially if their team or favorite athlete can come out victorious. One of the greatest games ever invented is chess. Here is the opportunity for one to beat his opponent, whether a person or computer, especially in the endgame.

Some people also love to watch others lose, especially if these losers are evil (such as those who practice injustice). These deserve to lose, and Christ, the righteous Judge, will unleash His wrath against them shortly!

This world is involved in a life and/or death struggle. The forces of evil are arrayed and prepared to destroy those who are followers of the Bible, such as believing Jews and genuine Christians!

Here is what the Bible, the authoritative Word of the only (true and living) God declares:

1. The last chapter has been written and Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the eternal victor over death and evil!
2. Although it may not seem to some that what or Who is right will rule (according to God’s standard), that’s the way it’s going to be in the end! (Whether you agree with this or not, that determination has already been made by God, not by mere humanoids like you and me)!

In 1719 Isaac Watts, the former slave-trader, wrote these conclusive words:

          Jesus shall reign where-e’er the sun does His successive journeys run;

          His kingdom spread from shore to shore, till moons shall wax

and wane no more!
