“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter”(Isaiah 5:20)
As I am reading and watching the news, two major earthquakes and severe aftershocks have rocked at least 10 major cities in Turkey and Syria. At the time of this writing, more than 12,000 men, women, and children have been found dead under the rubble of collapsed structures – – with thousands still missing! To “top this off,” inclement weather of cold and freezing have played havoc with rescue attempts. Thousands more are presumed dead!

And we sit smugly in the comforts of our homes thinking, “this is so far removed from us.” And we continue to worry about who will win the football game, or the economy taking its toll on us. But we have warm homes and food and shelter and friends. We need not worry, because “this would never happen over here!” Really??
These real people in this horrific and terrifying disaster miss their children if they themselves are still living. But legislators and pro-choice advocates here might even celebrate the loss of life as a “win” for themselves. They’re either crazy or evil, or both!

What is to say that such calamities will not befall us here, in America??
What guarantee do we have??
As a matter of fact, God guarantees that things (all around the world) will progressively get worse! But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. (2 Timothy 3:13)
The worst 7-year period in all of human history is just around the corner. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. (Matthew 24:21) We haven’t even seen the beginning of it yet!
The prophet Isaiah pronounces a “woe” on those who contradict the Bible. The word “woe” speaks of impending judgment, and America will not be spared! God must judge sin and our nation is full of Bible-haters and Christ-deniers. What’s it going to take to wake us up and repent? Enemies from within and without?? Bombs?? Big earthquakes?? WEEP, AMERICA, WEEP!
