May You Have a Happy Forever!

“You (God) will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (Psalm 19:11)

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me (David) all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever” (Psalm 23:6)

Somebody has once tried to illustrate eternity with a page full of zeros, beginning with the number one. This page, full of numbers, represents the beginning of the introduction to the preface of eternity. When millions and billions and trillions of years are passed, then that would represent the first milliseconds of eternity! That’s what the Bible refers to as “eternity,” or, “everlasting!” Man has a beginning, but no end! This, of course, begs the ultimate question as to where one will spend eternity! The God who inhabits eternity (who had no beginning, by the way), says this about Himself, “For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones” (Isaiah 57:15).

This eternal and only God makes it very clear that man lives forever in only one of two locations – – WITH God in Heaven or WITHOUT God in Hell, where His wrath will be dispensed against all unbelievers. So, what is the determinative factor? It is found in such passages as John 11:25, 26 when “Jesus said to her (Martha), ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?’”

You owe it to yourself to read John 3:18, 36! Your eternal destiny hinges on such passages! A happy forever is reserved only for those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone! “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes (in) Him shall not perish but have EVERLASTING LIFE” (John 3:16)!
