“The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, IN WHOM I WILL TRUST; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold (Psalm 18:2)
So, you trust the banker, the car-dealer, the clergy, the hairdresser, the politician, the weather reporter, the …? Ah, yes, since you’ve been disappointed a time or two in one or more of these people, who better to trust than – – you got it – – yourself?! After all, you wouldn’t cheat yourself, you wouldn’t lie to yourself, and you know what’s best for yourself – – of course!
One problem: you are not perfect, all-knowing, or strong enough to get yourself out of many predicaments. You are fragile and perishable. So, that leaves you with one of two options: Either you trust yourself, or, you must trust someone far greater than you or other failing humanoids! And His name is God – – the eternal and unfailing God of the Bible!
He alone can get you out of a “pickle,” or “jam,” if you please. He alone has the power over disease and death. He alone can calm the waves. And only this God can save you from an eternal Hell! You see, He sent His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for your sins, to give you everlasting and abundant life, to reveal His Truth to you (because He IS true and faithful), to demonstrate His love for you and to shower you with mercy and grace in your time of need. Millions can and will attest to that!

Desperate times lie ahead for us. I ask you once again, IN WHOM WILL YOU TRUST? King David made a wise choice. In his darkest night he chose to trust in the only true God – – the God of the Bible. And God answered his prayer! Would you like for God to answer your prayers? You know what to do! [You may wish to encourage your heart by meditating on the rest of Psalm 18].
I totally agree and say Amen! Thank you!!
