Man Says Vs. God Says 2

MAN SAYS: Do good works to gain God’s favor.

GOD SAYS: “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast”.

(Ephesians 2:8, 9)

MAN SAYS: Everyone goes to heaven.

GOD SAYS: “He who believes in Him (Jesus Christ, God’s Son) is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God”.

(John 3:18)

MAN SAYS: Things and beings just evolved.

GOD SAYS: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”.

(Genesis 1:1)

MAN SAYS: Faith is a leap into the dark.

GOD SAYS: “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”.

(Romans 10:17)

MAN SAYS: Get a good education.

GOD SAYS: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding”.

(Proverbs 9:10)

MAN SAYS: Get religion.

GOD SAYS: “… Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved …”.

MAN SAYS: Booze it up.

GOD SAYS: “Woe to those who rise early in the morning, that they may follow intoxicating drink; who continue until night till wine inflames them” .

MAN SAYS: God doesn’t care.

GOD SAYS: “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” .

(I Peter 5:7)

MAN SAYS: I can take care of myself.

GOD SAYS: “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God” .

(II Corinthians 3:5)

MAN SAYS: I determine truth.

GOD SAYS: “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’”.

(John 14:6)

MAN SAYS: I’m ok, you’re ok.

GOD SAYS: “But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; we all fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away”.

(Isaiah 64:6)

MAN SAYS: I’ve been through hell.

GOD SAYS: “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades (hell) delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. MAN SAYS: Let’s party.

GOD SAYS: “And I will say to my soul, ‘Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.’ But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; …”.

MAN SAYS: (M)any gods.

MAN SAYS: Me, myself and I.

GOD SAYS: “Then Jesus said to him, ‘Away with you, Satan! For it is written, “You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve”’”.

MAN SAYS: Money is the bottom line.

GOD SAYS: “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”.

MAN SAYS: Everyone does it.

GOD SAYS: “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge”.

MAN SAYS: Pornography.

GOD SAYS: For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God”.

MAN SAYS: Secular music.

GOD SAYS: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord”.

(Colossians 3:16)

MAN SAYS: Spare the criminal.

GOD SAYS: “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except form God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God…. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he (governing authority) does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil”.

MAN SAYS: The Bible is outdated.

GOD SAYS: “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever”.

(Isaiah 40:8)

MAN SAY S: There’s no hope.

GOD SAYS: “For whatever things were written before (the Old Testament) were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope”.

(Romans 15:4)

MAN SAYS: Truth is unknowable.

GOD SAYS: “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”.

(John 8:32)

MAN SAYS: When I’m gone, I’m gone.

GOD SAYS: “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment”.

(Hebrews 9:27)

MAN SAYS: God is never here when I need Him.

GOD SAYS: “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear”.
