Secularism

“That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world” (Ephesians 2:12)

“This I (Paul) say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But you have not so learned Christ” (Ephesians 4:17-20)

Secularism is basically the philosophy of being without religion, and specifically, being without the Bible as one’s authority. It amounts to a categorical rejection of objective Truth or divine revelation. All ethical standards are rejected and lawlessness ensues.

Notice how Paul the apostle describes this hell-bound ideology:

1. “Futility of their mind.” 2. “Their understanding darkened.” 3. “Ignorance that is in them.” 4. “The blindness of their heart.” 5. “Past feeling.” 6. “Given themselves over to lewdness.” (“indecent; treating sexual matters in a vulgar way” – – from The Oxford American Dictionary)  7. “To work all uncleanness with greediness.”

Here you have a full-blown description of our modern society: Here is the mindset of most public schools and universities. Here is the way of life of many of our politicians. Here is the devious attempt to purge any Christian or Jewish content from the mass and social medias. Here is the evidence in textbooks that deliberately seek to revise history, or eliminate any reference to Biblical truth or the blessings of Western civilization. Here are the daily attacks against those who advocate morality based on the Bible. Here is a picture of a godless judicial system. Here is a world ablaze with God-hatred!   And God’s response to the secular mindset? “These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power” (II Thessalonians 1:9). Man’s stupid secularism ends with God’s sobering sentence!
