Israel’s God

“For the LORD your God is He who goes with you (the Jewish people), to fight for you against your enemies, to save you” (Deuteronomy 20:4)

“For behold, Your (God’s) enemies make a tumult (uproar); and those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people (the Jewish people)…” (Psalm 83:2, 3)

To the best of my knowledge, never before in history has there been such an onslaught of animosity against the Jews. It’s coming from continents (like Europe); from countries (like Iran, Russia and Turkey); from denominations (like members of the PCUSA and other Reform bodies, who wrongly believe that God is through with His chosen people; from numerous politicians (globally and locally) who have an aversion to Judaism; and from a whole host of other Jew-hating sources such as media outlets, publications, the United Nations, and universities. This anti-Semitism or anti-Zionism, I believe, is a satan-inspired war against God and His people! It won’t be long now before Israel will be invaded by a massive alliance led by Russia (Ezekiel 38, 39). Read it to find out what will happen and who will win!

A very simple understanding of the Bible is that it’s Author, God, has an eternal plan for His people, the Jews; and, He has given the land of Israel as a gift to them  (many such references are found, especially in the Book of Deuteronomy). This is not to say that the Jews are perfect; but then again, neither are those who castigate them! It is God alone who made this eternal covenant with Abraham in Genesis 12, 15, 17, 21! (See also Deuteronomy 7:6ff).

The Bible makes it very clear that God’s plan will never be thwarted, although it appears otherwise at times. So, who’s going to ultimately win this war? The God of the Bible cannot lose because He is God and He has and is the final and ultimate authority and power over this universe! No one will ever upstage or undo Him! That will never ever happen! So, pray for the Jewish people and bless them (Genesis 12:3; Psalm 122:6-9)! Believe the God of Israel and read His Word, the Bible! Remember that Jesus, God, is a Jew! You don’t want to fight Israel’s God!
