“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13, 14).
Jumping on the bandwagon and doing the popular thing is what most people are accustomed to. It’s the easy way, but may not be the right way!
Notice the contrast between the “many” and the “few;” the “narrow” and the “broad” gate; as well as “destruction” versus “life!”
What does Jesus mean when He speaks of the “gate?” The gate or door is an entrance. We find these words by Jesus in John 10:7, 9 – – “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep…I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”

There are many today who choose to walk the broad way leading to (eternal) destruction. There is only one way to (eternal) life and that is coming through Jesus Christ. He alone is THE way, THE truth and THE life (John 14:6). Any and every other way leads you to destruction.
Are you one of the many or one of the few? Have you considered the eternal consequences?
