“…who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them” (Romans 1:32).
I recently attended a “family festival” (to which I had been invited) not too far from home – – perhaps 45 minutes away. When I arrived there, what I observed was nothing short of a shameless, “in your face” lewd immorality – – evil displays in a family setting with many infants and impressionable children there. And what was really mind-boggling was the amount of all too many applauding spectators. Needless to say, my stay was cut short and I was glad to return home, albeit with a depressed heart.
“In your face” evil happens for a number of reasons. Allow me to enumerate some of these:
- The rottenness or depravity of man’s heart.
- The lack of fear of the biblical God.
- The illusion that there are no consequences – – that, in the evil-doers futile thoughts; since there is no God or hell, or since He is all-loving, if He exists – – He will not care or mind.
Are you at all shocked at this? Or don’t you care. Worse than this, do you approve of such evil displays in public or in the privacy of your home?
Folks, it’s no wonder that our country is in serious trouble. You can laugh or deride my moral concerns. But when God’s wrath is fully unleashed because of our depraved actions, it will be too late, and it’s coming! Just don’t blame God! He is always just and righteous, and is ready to forgive the one who repents of his sins, but unrepentant sinners will reap their eternal punishment.
