“Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me. Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure” (Isaiah 46:9, 10)
Things in the world are happening at breakneck speed nowadays! Many of these events would have seemed unimaginable a short time ago. For example, the worldwide immigration crisis, threats of a nuclear disaster, massive global catastrophes, attempts to unify currencies and religions, widespread condemnation of Israel and the Jewish people, anarchy and people-rule; and, most important, the categorical rejection of biblical truth.
What is highly significant about these and other happenings is that so many of these have been predicted centuries in advance! After all, how much in advance can any human being predict (with deadly accuracy) what will happen in the near future? (Read James 4:14).
Yet we find current events taking place that were foretold more than 2 millennia ago! Let me give you a few such instances: Ezekiel predicted some 2,600 years ago that an alliance headed up by Russia (along with Iran, Turkey and several other nations) would invade Israel (Ezekiel 38, 39). Zechariah declared massive assaults against Jerusalem(Zechariah 12, 14). Matthew predicted mega earthquakes unlike previously experienced (Matthew 24). And many more previous predictions now being experienced can be located in the Bible, written centuries ago!
Several deductions may be drawn from the passage listed above:
- Remember the past and God’s involvement in it (you’ll find it in the Bible).
- There is only one true God – – the One highlighted in the Word of God.
- What takes place today and in the future, God told you in advance!
So, how do you prepare or get ready for what’s coming ahead? In a few words, make sure you will escape the coming 7-year worldwide disasters, beginning with the contract signed by the coming antichrist and Israel (Daniel 9:27). Advance notice: the only way to escape is to place your faith in Jesus Christ alone, and He will deliver you from the wrath to come!
