“Call upon Me (the Most High God) in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me” (Psalm 50:15).

When I grew up as a child, my mother taught me that God had a telephone number and it was found in Psalm 50:15.
In the past I have had numerous problems with the phone such as a busy signal or exorbitant costs for long-distance calls. Many people over the years have found that these problems never exist when they called on the name of the Lord. He is never too busy, won’t put you on “hold,” or charge you for approaching His throne of grace.
One man who is also known as “the weeping prophet,” was Jeremiah. His life and plight consisted of a series of tragedies. He saw such sad miseries that he wrote a book in the Bible called Lamentations. In a book named after him, he wrote these encouraging words:
“Call to Me (the LORD), and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3).

Perhaps you’re sad, afraid, depressed or despondent. Why not call on the name of the Lord. He wants to hear from you even as a parent who is anxious to hear from his beloved child. Help is only a call away!
