Funny Classroom Stories

While teaching a classroom of 8 3 year olds at church, I was given the most wonderful gift one Sunday. A cute 3 year old boy was apparently suffering from a "nasal passage blockage..." and in went the finger to clear things out. What did he do with that treasure? Handed it straight to me with a giving smile on his face. How could I say, "No!?" Right then, his parents walked by the room and saw this. We''ve laughed about it ever since! (from Rosemary W. Austin, TX)

When confronted with a mistake, a student once replied, "That's the first mistake I have ever made, again."  (This one's a classic, and I use it all the time in class!) (from Kerry W., Orem, Ut)

When lining up waiting for the lunch pass, I sometimes ask trivia questions.

One question was, "Where do sponges live?"  Though I thought this question was incredibly obvious for a 5th grader, I was amused by the first answer:

"The sink, of course." (from Kerry W., Orem, Ut)
